About

Jesse Baggs is a cartoonist and freelance commercial artist.  His comic Children Who Toil won the 2008 CWA National Newsletter Contest for Best Original Comic.  His mini-comic Is Punk Dead? sold out at popular comics shops such as Gosh! in London and Comic Relief in Berkeley (among other locations), introduced a chapter on Punk in British rock critic Ian Shirley’s Can Rock and Roll Save the World? An Illustrated History of Music and Comics and was used by an Australian teenager as part of a school project on personal interests.

Jesse Baggs currently resides in his hometown of Sacramento, where he contributes to the group blog at MySacramento.me and mentors aspiring high school cartoonist Clave Fourie.  He lives with his girlfriend Audrey, their cat, a fish, two dogs and whatever other strays they've taken in or animals they may be petsitting at the moment.
